The grading systems within the RQF and EQF frameworks ensure that students’ performance is measured accurately, reflecting skills and knowledge attainment:
Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF)
- Uses Pass, Merit, and Distinction levels for vocational and technical qualifications.
- At higher levels, academic grading may follow traditional letters: A (Outstanding), B (Very Good), C (Good), D (Satisfactory), and E (Fail).
- Some qualifications also align with UCAS points for university admission, based on grades earned.
European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
- Focuses on learning outcomes and descriptors rather than traditional grades.
- Key descriptors include Knowledge, Skills, and Competence at each level.
- Achievement levels may include Pass, Merit, or Excellence, with an optional ECTS grading scale from A (Excellent) to FX/F (Fail).
4. Global Recognition and Transferability
By aligning with RQF and EQF, our qualifications are internationally recognized, enhancing opportunities for students to pursue further studies or careers worldwide.
